Meta Summit on Youth Safety and Well-Being
Client: Meta
Year: 2022
Location: Washington, D.C.
Studio: ADVOC8
The event was held at Convene, a new venue in Washington, D.C. A custom-designed main stage with auditorium-style seating served as the primary event space where safety advocates, mental health experts, educators, researchers, policy writers, and parents gathered to discuss the challenges of online safety. Discussions primarily explored opportunities to better serve teens and their families. Attendees were also able to test safety tools at custom-designed demo stations.
The summit helped position Meta as a leading advocate of online safety, while also bridging the gap between the brand and public policy. Around 100 guests and 50 Meta employees attended the summit, with a live broadcast reaching a gloabl virtual audience.

My Role
For this project, I was responsible for studying the Meta brand and applying it across a range of graphic outputs. In addition, I explored ways to elevate the brand through materiality, while also experimenting with unexpected compositions. Working closely with creative leadership, I designed large-scale and small-scale print collateral, a comprehensive signage and wayfinding system, stage graphics, digital assets—including an event website—and a photo moment that served as a central feature of the event.
